Ammalife was born 10 years ago and in May 2007 became a UK Registered Charity dedicated to saving mothers’ lives in some of the poorest parts of the world. 10 years on, things are getting better but there is much yet to done. Thanks to our loyal and generous supporters, we’re working with colleagues in Malawi and Pakistan to make a difference.
On Saturday 13 May, between 6-8pm, we’ll be reflecting on our first decade and sharing our ideas for the future. We’ll be gathering in the ERC at Birmingham Womens Hospital B15 2TG where it all began. We’d love you to join us.
We’re delighted that Rt Hon Clare Short and Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, both former hugely respected Secretaries of State for International Development, will be our guest speakers. Though from opposite ends of the political spectrum, they are united in working for women’s reproductive health as the key to unlocking human progress. They also work together as patrons of the Muslim Charities Forum to mitigate the humanitarian tragedy caused by the war in Syria.
There will be a Buffet Meal and children are welcome. Admission is free but we do need to know numbers for catering before 5 May.
