The event will also include a gallery exhibition with documentary photos and a film from Oxfam’s Birth Rights campaign, depicting the actual conditions of childbirth in Ghana.

It follows a recent trip made by Nina Gora from Oxfam investigating the incidence of high maternal mortality rates in developing countries and the benefits of introducing free healthcare in countries like Ghana.

The event aims to raise awareness of the poor conditions of maternity healthcare in countries like Ghana and we welcome medical professionals, mothers, mothers-to-be and people from the local community to learn more about this issue.
